As the solution architect you will closely engage with key client personnel including business and IT stakeholders and participate in all areas of the development life-cycle to ensure the best outcome for our customers. You will define the technical solution and lead the technical team to successful deployment of complete enterprise DWBI solutions using Microsoft technologies.This role comes with immense opportunities to develop tailored solutions for our top customers and provide technology vision and leadership insights on solutions offering initiatives that support the region in a highly dynamic and innovative marketplace.Responsibilities:As the Senior Business Intelligence Manager, you will:- Facilitate and execute requirements gathering, analysis & design phases- Design and develop ETL processes, Data Warehouses, multi-dimensional databases and OLAP cubes using SQL Server, SSSI and SSAS.- Deliver data to end users using SSRS, Excel, PowerPivot and SharePoint Performance Point.- Develop and refine the best practices for BI projects- Participate in presales including workshops and estimations- Assist in driving Business Development initiatives with major stakeholders, including customers, sales team and marketing- Support relationship based selling and assume a lead technical role during prospecting and closing by working closely with the sales team and other technical consultants- Work closely with program managers and bid teams internally to maximize the business development capability and leverage Avanade capabilities- Develop business development collaterals with the marketing and sales teamQualificationsThe Senior Business Intelligence Manager should ideally have a Degree in Computer Science or equivalent with a minimum of 8 years relevant experience in DW and BI solution design and implementation.The successful candidate will be expected to have proven successes in leading and delivering enterprise-scale Data Warehouse, Business Intelligence and Performance Management solutions using Microsoft technologies for large corporate clients.As this is a leadership role, at least 3 years of management experience is required and the successful candidate needs to have demonstrated the ability to lead, mentor, motivate and guide a team size of 5.Additional requirements:- Relevant Microsoft Training/Certifications preferred (MCAD .NET, MCSD .NET, MCDBA)- Experience with SharePoint and .Net Framework is a plus- Solid query and performance optimization experience on large systems- General consulting skills, including: team facilitation and business case development.- Pre-sales skills, including solution envisioning, building demonstration, estimate.- First-class client interfacing skills and communication skills- Good understanding of sales strategies, tactics and cycles- Extensive pre-sales experience in proposal development, customer presentations/workshop conduct- Strong capabilities on transitioning sales from qualifying and closing to the delivery teams- Experience of full life-cycle IT projects and of project management methodologies from gathering requirements through to successful product launch.- Ability to understand and rationalize complex business processes (Finance, Marketing, Budgeting, etc.)- People Management and coaching- Data modeling skills including Kimball and Inmon Methodologies.- Customer oriented attitude with excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, organisation, decision-making and communication skills.Primary Location: Asia Pacific-Malaysia-Kuala LumpurRegion: MalaysiaJob: Software / Solutions DevelopmentCapability Group: Con/Sol - BI&CLOC:MAL
